String entertainment is the perfect solution to your entertainment needs, whether it’s to create an atmosphere, provide a soundtrack to your wedding day, or capture the audience’s attention. Silken Strings comprise an elite group of players that are experienced in many genres of music. When many people think of a String Quartet they think only of classical music, you may be surprised to learn that our repertoire list includes U2, Muse, The Cure and David Bowie to name a few. Tailored to your needs, we take song requests if there is something special you want on the day, ensemble can range between 1-6 players and can perform with or without amplification, which is a bonus if there are space or budget restrictions. Members of Silken Strings have performed in venues all over Brisbane some of these include, Brisbane Convention Centre, River Room, Hilton, Marriot, Sheraton, Polo Club, Tattersalls, Gold Coast Convention Centre, Victoria Park Golf Club, Customs House, QPAC, Powerhouse, The Gabba and Suncorp Stadium. They have also performed
with Jimmy Barnes, Evermore, Diesel, The Waifs, Kate Miller Heidke and Missy Higgins to name a few.
